DA 4K Site Monitoring at Cordillera Administrative Region
The Department of Agriculture Kabuhayan at Kaunlaran ng Kababayang Katutubo (DA-4K) National Program Management Office (NPMO) together with the 4K Regional Field Office (RFO) at CAR conducted its site monitoring for sub project to two Ancestral Domains in the region.
Dumolpos Ansipsip Ancestral Domain Indigenous Peoples Organization – located near Mt. Ugo, Benguet where the trip took approximately between 5-6 hours from the Regional Office. DA 4K has provided them with multiple projects such as chicken, carabao, cattle production for livestock as well as support to rice production. The project also provided the necessary equipment for the community such as Rice Mill, tillers, treshers, coffee pulpers, water pumps and mini chainsaw.
Lusod Ambasa Ancestral Domain Indigenous Peoples Organization – located on the other side of the mountain, it would take not less than a two hour hike if taken from the first Ancestral Domain but would take 5-6 hours if by vehicle due to the road being around the mountain. Targeted for 2024 implementation wherein the program will provide support to their heirloom rice and coffee production.
