The one-day training was attended by 50 employees from various offices of the Department of Agriculture CALABARZON, aimed at enhancing their skills in writing technical reports and capturing powerful images that reflect the realities, culture, and development of IP communities in the region.
Through engaging lectures, practical exercises, and real-world applications, participants learned the fundamentals of technical writing from crafting clear and effective reports to producing accessible and informative content. In parallel, the photojournalism sessions taught participants how to take meaningful, story-driven photographs that capture the essence of people, places, and progress in the field.
The training emphasized the importance of culturally sensitive and ethical storytelling, ensuring that the lives, traditions, and contributions of IP communities are portrayed with dignity and accuracy. By improving how these stories are told, the 4K Program aims to raise awareness, promote inclusivity, and highlight the vital role Indigenous Peoples play in agricultural and rural development.
This initiative is part of the 4K Programโs continued efforts to ensure that no community is left behind. By empowering DA personnel with the right tools and knowledge, we are helping amplify the stories that truly matter stories of resilience, progress, and hope among Indigenous Peoples.
