The Department of Agriculture โ€“ 4K Program, in partnership with the High Value Crops Development Program (HVCDP), continues to bring inclusive agricultural support to Indigenous Peoples Organizations (IPOs) across Caraga.

In the Municipality of San Luis, Agusan del Sur, a technical training on abaca and fruit trees production was conducted for the following IPOs: Tagbuligan ku Banwaon Manobo daw Talaandig dini ta Adgawan (TAGBAMATAAD) โ€“ CADT 079, and Maasam Banwaon Tagbigolan (MABANTAG) โ€“ CADT 250.

Meanwhile, in Buenavista, Agusan del Norte, another session was held for the Higaonon Farmers Association of Sitio Bagang (HIFASIB) โ€“ CADT 252, focusing on upland rice and vegetable production to help improve food sustainability and farming practices in upland areas.

Each training helped IP farmers build knowledge in crop production and sustainable farming practices adapted to their specific needs and ancestral lands.

This initiative was carried out with the valuable support of APCOโ€“Agusan del Sur, APCOโ€“Agusan del Norte, the respective Provincial Agriculture Offices, and the Municipal Agriculture Offices of San Luis and Buenavista.
