Twenty-seven 27 IP farmers actively participated and gained valuable insights from the vegetable training conducted by the Department of Agriculture โ€“ Regional Field Office IX, through the Kabuhayan at Kaunlaran ng Kababayang Katutubo (4K) Project, in collaboration with the Research Division on July 1, 2025, in Ipilan, Salug, Zamboanga del Norte.

This initiative was in response to the request of the Subanen Indigenous Political Structure of Salug and aimed to empower and equip Indigenous People (IP) farmers with practical knowledge and skills in sustainable vegetable farming. Also present during the activity were representatives from the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) and the Philippine Army, showing their support for inclusive and community-driven agricultural development.
