๐๐๐๐: The Department of Agriculture, Kabuhayan at Kaunlaran ng Kababayang Katutubo (4K) Program held its 3rd Quarter and Annual Awarding Ceremony on December 11, 2024, at Eurotel, North Edsa, Quezon City. The ceremony celebrated the efforts, dedication, and hard work of all the 4K Regional Field Offices in helping Indigenous peoples and recognized the program’s accomplishments throughout the year. This event highlighted the program’s successful physical and financial achievements and its continued support for Indigenous communities.
During the ceremony, Director Lucia A. Campomanes’ retirement was recognized and honored. Each region thanked Director Campomanes for her dedicated service, which also highlighted her hard work and commitment to supporting Indigenous Farmers and Fisherfolk. She also formally passed on the leadership of the 4K Program to Deputy Director Maria Christine C. Inting, ensuring the program’s goals and initiatives continued.
The Office of the Secretary was also represented by Atty. Kristine Lea Rabaja, along with Asec. Philip C. Young, Assistant Secretary for Special Assistance for Export Development, who spoke on behalf of Secretary Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr. Director Annray Villota Rivera, Program Director of the Gender and Equality and Social Inclusion Program, also attended to show support, as 4K is one of the gender-responsive programs. Additionally, representatives from the office of the Assistant Secretary for the Implementation of Executive Order No. 70, Series of 2018, and the National Task Force for the West Philippine Sea were also present.
